Re: "Ignorance" - the problem with this project is that it's occurring in hostile space. The Internet is not a big truck, it's a series of tubes, and a lot of the people here expect wit and LOLZ to be coming out of this tube. If your goal is to shock people with something they're not expecting to see, you lose the right to call people ignorant for resisting it -- if they wanted to be your audience, they would go elsewhere on the Internets to find you. You are not smarter than others because you "get" it.

ok, this is the problem with this site....... you called it a test just so people would see it. you don't so "test" sites unless they are complex. i could totally understand if it were an animated flash image, but its just a picture. what exactly arer you testing. because of the lack of humor used on this site, i am giving it a 1
WTH is this suposed to be? This is just another f*cking inside joke...just like with 1337, people think it's a cool ytmnd if one makes a ytmnd, gets a ton of his buddies to sponsor it, and switch the content every day. Its just like with 1337, it's just like with that stephanie site...it's not ytmnd, it stupidity nad inside jokes.
The point is the exposure and the message. Going into this, we knew that it was not likely to be widely accepted among frontpagers. As long as there's at least one person who likes these sites, it's All worth it. I suppose it's a good thing that I've locked the FL nsfw forums section that that particular topix article refers to, so as noone can currently see whats going on. :)

Since fads are part of the unoriginal material that sucks the value out of anything then, yes, it is about fads. Fads can be creative... look at the wiki for the Stares Into Your Soul fad. THERE'S CREATIVITY THERE, INNOVATION. Yet, after that one spurt of creativity, people completely forgot it and went back to the original concept without adding anything of their own. Sad.
