Plenty of people see things before they die. Maybe it is because of chemical release, maybe it is true. But if they are true, why do people of all religions and faiths experience and see different things? Does gravity re-ingage for the muslim who claims he is being lifted to paradise, and a booming 'Just kidding, lol' come from a jesus-shaped cloud as he descends into hell? I think not.
Eh. I think the Roman Catholic bashing is a bit much. I'm a Protestant of sorts myself and yeah, the Roman Catholics screwed up a good bit but I think bashing them goes off message and detracts from the core of your statement. religious intolerance has led to many deaths around the world. A few people with a myriad of illnesses hallucinated and saw what they believed to be angels. Had these people been taught that flying spaghetti monsters were to descend and bring them to the afterlife, they would've reported such.
It's a good presentation, but amounts to little in a discussion.
Whetstone, I think that if your YTMNDs have done only one thing, that thing is to show that religion is not something to be preached to the masses. It should be preached to people who are willing, there are good intentions within every religion, but pit two people of differing beliefs against eachother, and it becomes an all out brawl.

Spread of good through faith... More people have died by religious extremism than any other source. It doesn't matter if it is the religion's true intentions or not, it allows for it to happen because it is all interpretive. Whetstone, Max has asked you twice to stop. The stories aren't very interesting, and you use too much olde englishe. Also, just because they were Christians does not make them saints. I suggest you make one with stories a lot closer to the present-day (maybe about missionaries?) and get rid of the old-style wording. The seeming anti-Catholicism did not make me happy at all. Just because someone uses more traditional ways of service doesn't mean they believe differently, and it's like bashing a fellow Christian.
Liberalism is the realization that everything is impermanent, at least it's supposed to be. Don't let the American Democrats represent the best of liberals. Religion is trying to write things in stone that shouldn't be. Change is constant, and religions try against all odds to stay the same. It is against social evolution.

Music was awful. Really really trite. This ytmnd as a whole was monotonous. People proclaiming their love and acceptance of Jesus on their deathbeds? Well, I guess hedging your bets in that circumstance isn't a bad idea. ;) What can one say to this, other than, "Good for you." Jesus was a mortal man, my son. A revolutionary type figure. I generalize here, but many Christians trust faulty logic and take the words of their preacher as truth. They have been taught that to question the word of God is evil and dirty. Thus, it is easy for them to be manipulated into doing REALLY bad things. Why do I fear Christians? Things like witch hunts in our past make me fear them. They killed other people for their own salvation, much like an Islamic terrorist.
On to the actual message of this and the last slideshow. I don't expect an answer based on whet's track record of not responding to comments here, but here it goes. What does it mean to "be saved," to "accept Jesus as your lord and savior?" I keep on hearing this, but it's so ambiguous and abstract. I've read the Get-Saved-In-Five-Minutes-Prayer twice that I can recall. Does that grant me immunity to Hell? Christians have a hard time of answering what, EXACTLY, I have to do to not go to Hell.
You say that some people go to Hell, and some to Heaven. Therefore, there must be a cutoff point somewhere to differentiate between which side you fall on. Does a serial murderer who converts to Christianity in jail go to Heaven? Does it matter if he was saved before he committed murder or after? Does it matter if he spends 10 years in jail as a Christian reading the Bible daily, or just converts the week before his execution?
The only thing all 1,000 different slants of Christianity (each pastor has his own interpretation of The Good Book, which itself is nowhere near what the original texts of the Bible were before we kept rewriting and editing it and ommitting things, so taking ANY scripture literally is just moronic) have in common is that they believe in accepting Jesus as your savior. How do I know if I have met the requirements for having accepted Jesus?
"Belief." What is belief? Think about it for a minute. Will doubt keep you out of heaven? Let's say I am moved by the ytmnd. What do I have to do next in a systematic checklist? Until I get CONCRETE answers to this concept of getting saved, I refuse to buy into a religion founded on telling people to get saved. It's like Christians don't know either, so they are in a constant state of anxiety over how many God Exp. they have from going to church and proving their loyalty through self-denial.

You have no proof of this god you think exists. Think about this... If there is a god, and he wants us to worship him and follow certain rules, why are we only told by other humans? And why are their different beliefs? You'd think if he wanted us to follow certain rules, he'd tell us himself so we know for sure, but he doesn't. And in response to the cries of the infidels ytmnd, if you think people seeing sh*t when they die is proof of heaven and hell, is everything one sees while on LSD real too?
I'm giving this a 3, not too much, not too little, but here's why:
I'm agnostic. I believe that anyone who believes that in order to go to heaven, you need to believe Jesus Christ was the son of God is someone who believes in a God that makes ALOT of mistakes. Take anyone in the rainforest, anyone who is born in China, or anybody born of another religion and dies before they even know of Christianity.
Ignorance is bliss, not a hell-worthy offense. Sorry.
Also, the above statement is my own opinion. You all are entitled to yours as well. That doesn't make either wrong. Also, I've talked with Whetstone and have no problem with him.
