i think this is interesting as trivia, if only because it does seem counterintuitive. another thing to note is that religious states have a penchant for slaughtering OTHER people groups, whereas secular states tend to just slaughter their own. i think every atheist should should ask him/herself where "inalienable human rights" can come from, if not from some divine authority. i'm an agnostic, and i don't know how to answer that question to my satisfaction.
maybe you get off on being flamed by "infidels," but seeking persecution for it's own sake doesn't serve the cause of the christ you profess to love. people don't care how much you know, only how much you care. stuff like this ytmnd just makes christianity sound even more antiquated and irrelevant. you're wasting everyone's time, especially your own. go serve someone to whom you owe nothing. that's what jesus would do.
