The pixels were originally evenly distributed and subtler, but when I resized the image they went all screwy. I kinda like 'em this way, though.

Poor Edmund Fitzgerald. It sank to grab our attention and then sank again after it lost it.

Good concept, good gif, but it took way longer than it should have. Maybe cut the time down to 1/3.

Thanks for the constructive criticism.

I didn't really agree with you at first, but then I realized the error of my ways. This switch-to-repeating-background technique has always been used to make a site unusually long, so I followed that precedent by default. The thing is, in most of those sites, the length was the whole point (see: notforanyone, nigga-look-at-yo-hair, TOWEREWOT, etc.). In my site, length is not the whole point. I like the interlude, but even I have to admit that a minute and a half of tumbling Rooney is rather extravagant.

I've revised the site to reflect my revised thinking. I also prefer where the music cuts out this time around, so that's an added bonus.

I got a little teary watching this. I love these sites you make where they go on for ages and still have an ending if you're patient enough to sit through (or if you're just listening to the music).
