Dear people that claim "I know this already" or "This sucks"; There are many who don't "know this already", and many have yet to see this and know about the crap that Scientology pulls. And if it sucks, make a better one. It is that easy. We welcome your effort if you choose to put your money where your mouth is.

Everyone, what matters IS NOT that the movie sucks. Nor that you already knew it, etc. Its that "The Church" is trying to surpress this. They are once against abusing our legal system to try to shut up their critics. This is a MILESTONE, the first ever film critical of Scientology to ever be released! We cannot let it die no matter how aesthetically poor we believe the film to be. The fight isn't that the film is good, its that the film is being surpressed.

Yes, because obviously, this film has killed multiple people, surpressed freedom of speech, abused and killed children, convinced millions from getting much needed psychiatric help, commited terrorist acts, and used their vast funds to operate crime rings, and use those same funds to use crooked lawyers to keep them from facing justice. Yes, this film is much worse. Really, put your comments into perspective before you say something so utterly stupid. Scientology is an EVIL cult who hurts people.

I didn't "put you in your place" and I havn't tried to surpress your speech. I'm merely telling the truth, to try to compare the evil criminal and terrorist actions undertaken by a fake religion which is really nothing more than a criminal enterprise who murders and tortures disenters; to a film which critisizes that organization, it utterly stupid. And for you to try to compare my humble comments to the actions of scientology is simply further idiocy.

This film kinda blew ass. It doesn't tell how it is it just shows what a small part of it might look like. A 5 minute film that does nothing but tear apart Scientology would be more effective than this hour n' 10 minute crap fest. No wonder Scientology is trying to censor this video, it makes their cult look BORING. I'd think that for a cult Scientology would have some perks to it than what this film presents. After watching, one will think Scientologists commit suicide out of boredom.

Pberg, This isn't a conspiracy theory. If anyone thinks that the crimes that Scientology continually commits to surpress freedom of speech is a "conspiracy theory", then they are totally ignorant. Do I have to remind you that they threatened legal action aginst us for critisizing them? Its not a "theory" its FACT that any real YTMND'er knows is true.

F*ck *ssh*les who say the movie sucks. First of all as cricket has said many many times, thats completely irrelevant. Secondly if you are looking for a lighting rod, thats obviously not what the movie was intended for. Its one thing to think a movie sucks on its own terms, but another to say it sucks by other terms. It seems to have been created as a character piece about how depressed people can look for anything to beleive in, not as some thing to chronicle of the crimes of scientology. Seen in this light

I actually think the film is really good. Of course I am a big fan of no-budget cinema. Usually its the people with no money, who do it anyway, who really love making movies. Look at Ed Wood, absolutely horrible film maker, but he wouldn't let something as stupid as not having a budget stand in his way. This film is good, it was made by a bunch of kids on no budget, so of course if you're comparing it to a "Real Movie" yes it "sucks". But that isn't the point, the artistic value of the film isn't whats...

...being discussed, what the YTMND is all about isn't that "OMFG THIS IS THE BEST MOVIE EVAR!!!11", its that this is a film which an organization has illegally been trying to surpress. An organization that has tried to do the same thing to YTMND. So regardless of if everyone loves the film, what is important is this is a piece of surpressed cinema. Its relavent because its a milestone in a variety of ways, not only is it the first film critical of scientology to ever be released, it is being attacked.

So I think its the responsibility of everyone who claims to care about Freedom of Speech, which YTMND should care about a great deal since we are often the target of surpression ourselves, especially from the cult. So please when watching the film, remember this was put together by a small group of young film makers on no budget, and recognize it for its artistic importance for being a milestone. Its like Nosferatu or Triumph of the Will or Birth of a Nation, not fantastic films in their own rights...

But important milestones in cinema. Even if they were poorly made in context to later films, or even if the ideas in the films are ignorant or racist (Which isn't the case in The Bridge, the ideas of the film are spot on.) they are still IMPORTANT films, films that shouldn't be surpressed especially because of their importance. This is one of those films. Not a fantastic film when compared to the newest biggest blockbuster, or even when compared to other indie films, but an IMPORTANT film none the less.

Uh... this is a fictional dramatization of 'actions' of the Church of Scientology. I'm not really seeing any primary source information, or any researching at all. Where's the EVIDENCE that scientology is bad? You can't just have an actor call up a fake Ford Harrison Hotel as somebody's dad, play that sad music from the end of the Incredible Hulk, and then say it's a milestone against Scientology. Lisa McPherson and the backlash from her relatives was a milestone. 2 for effort. Might watch more later.

They TRIED to surpress YTMND, I didn't say they succeded, but they tried to bully Max around with legal threats, and he laughed them off.
They arn't going to be succesful in surpressing this film either.
And this film IS a milestone because its the first feature length film to ever be released critical of Scientology, thats why its a milestone.

I didn't say that, i was mostly talking about Nosferatu and The Birth of a Nation with those. They are excellent films in context of their period, but terribly made in context to today. Triumph of the Will on the otherhand was a technical and cinematic milestone. It is the greatest documentaries of all time, and frankly on of my favorite films of all time from a Technial standpoint.
What I was talking about was even if someone was trying to surpress Triumph of the Will, I would still fight that surpressio

The fact that it's 'the first feature length film critical of Scientology' alone doesn't make it a 'milestone' either. Being the first in something doesn't automatically turn it into a milestone. I could make the first feature length movie about how pineapples are good for you, but that wouldn't make it a milestone. Everybody already knows pineapples are good for you, and the merits of pineapples are often discussed through various channells. Thus, there's no point to my irrelevant and unimportant film.

Yes, I would fight for it. I would think it would be important for any critical thinking person to see it, to see how deluded and manipulative they are. There would be no truth in it so it would be delightful to watch it and laugh at their horrible reasoning and lack of facts. I support the distribution of a variety of Scientology propaganda, because it only shows how ridiculous they are.
The only people trying to surpress Scientology material is Scientology itself, because they know how ridiculous.

Don't be stupid. Sure Christianity may have done comparable thing throughout history, and they may be just as "wacky" as Scientology in their beliefs, but here is the major difference. 1. Christians don't CHARGE YOU to become saved, ANYONE can do it right now, they just have to pray that they accept Jesus into their heart and as their savior. No gay *ss machines, they never even have to go to Church, and bam they are saved. 2. Christians had a REAL PHILOSOPHER as their leader. Scientology just has a Sci-Fi.

Writer who wanted to make money instead of revealing some real truth to mankind. Hubbard just wanted to make MONEY, not start a real religion. It was just a f*cking bet! Jesus on the otherhand really tried to help mankind. There is no comparison between the two except for a few superficialities and WHOA! They both say they are religions! Please.

"The only people trying to surpress Scientology material is Scientology themselves." Hence all the L. Ron Hubbard books on sale and celebrities spreading 'the good word'? No. Sorry man, but it looks like you only thought this half-through, letting your (probably justified) hatred of Scientology blind and guide you. Stopping Scientology is a noble goal, but this movie isn't the key vital to spread the unstoppable truth. There's much better informative material out there. Spread that instead.

I'm not talking about the basic "Self-Help" garbage they sell to hook people in at the beginning. I'm talking about OT III, i'm talking about their propaganda films.
They have continually tried to get the Initiation video removed from the internet. They try to cover up and hide ALL of these things, because they know that if people arn't heavily brainwashed first, any normal critically thinking person will reject it.

But this video is a milestone, and an important film to spread for THIS REASON... SCIENTOLOGY IS TRYING TO SURPRESS IT. The aesthetic and cinematic value of the film are made null and void at that point. It then becomes a matter of principle to support the distribution of the film. If we only support the films we unanimously agree are excellent, we are going to lose the battle here. This is a battle for freedom, and if we distribute it it can inspire people to make BETTER films.

But the line MUST BE DRAWN HERE. We can't retreat, it doesn't matter if the film is complete and utter garbage, if its completely worthless, I am making the annoucement that I will fight to protect and distribute ANY AND ALL FILMS OR MEDIA opposed or supressed by Scientology. I make NO MEASURE of its aesthetic value, just that its against them. If I withdraw support of this film just because a few people think its boring, then what? Where do I draw the line for supporting films?

Do I only support the films that EVERYONE agrees are compelling? That everyone thinks are important? Because if I do that WE WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO SUPPORT ANY FILM AGAINST THEM! People all have different tastes in film, I think this is a good movie, and a milestone, others think its boring garbage. But our differing opinions aside, Scientology sees it as a THREAT and that supercedes all other critques of the films for me. I will continue to support and distribute it no matter what.

And I make this promise now, any and all films they surpress are officially under my protection, and with the feedback from the YTMND community at large, they are ready to support me in my efforts. And that is where we are going to win, we will ALWAYS be able to out pace and out distribute anything that Scientology pulls to try to stop us. And we will teach them a lesson, THEY CAN NOT STOP US. They cannot bully people, they cannot surpress their critics. We will always fight them no matter where the battle.

I wonder how many of the people on the site who are giving this 1's are really Scientology plants.
Most of the people who gave it really low scores and tell me i'm overblowing Scientology only joined around the time Max refused to by bullied by Scientologys lawers, and most of them have yet to make a single YTMND.
I'm not saying thats proof, I just think its a bit strange.

Cricket - there are Scientology plants over at a few Boston Legal forums too (ever since Boston Legal did the show that blabbed the Xenu story a week back) Saying they are not Scientologists but only registered the DAY of the show or shortly afterwards in order to question the accuracy. Saying "Xenu" isn't one of the teachings, etc... Some other ones are just simply spamming with random absurdity when somebody makes a good valid point about the "church". May sound odd, but it is so fecking obvious over thre

As I have said many times, and what you can't exactly seem to understand is that this film is a milestone because IT IS THE FIRST. Its like the Jazz Singer is a milestone for being the first film with sound. Its not a great movie in of itself, but its a milestone. This film is not only a milestone, but its important because its being surpressed, and we are fighting that surpression.

"Trapped in the Closet" aired almost a year ago. It exposed the public to the same things that "The Bridge" did and amazingly in only 22 minutes. And my God, it was surpressed too, holy crap! So you've been telling everyone to watch this awful movie because this has never been done before and it has been surpressed. You're first point is just plain wrong, which renders your second point moot. Therefore, you're all worked up over a sh*tty movie that nobody is going to remember.

And I supported the distribution of "Trapped in the Closet", too, i'm torrenting it right now. And the fact is its a milestone in FILM, not TV. A feature length film HAS NEVER BEEN SUCCESFULLY BEEN RELEASED CRITISIZING SCIENTOLOGY, EVER. This is the first. As for it being "sh*tty" thats is debateable.

...'Drop it in mailboxes, hand it to strangers'? Woah, aren't you just pushing your own opions on to random people there? In a way, doesn't that make you almost as bad as scientology? It's like you're trying brainwash people too. Besides, why do you people care so much? Does anyone on this site actually know anyone who has been affected by scientology? And if so, shouldn't you just focus on those people, and not just trying to educate every random person in the world about it?

   That is really creepy HD.
It's ok, they can't delete all of them, and the movie has been WIDELY distributed now. They can't stop it at this point no matter how much money they throw at Lawyers.
Can't stop the Signal my friend.
They can stop me, they can stop you, they can stop Brett, but they can never stop US. They can never stop what we represent, we are the future, we are their death, logic, reason, and rationality will rule the 21st Century, not superstition wrapped up in pseudo-scientific lanuage

I follow my own path, I let no religion have control over me, in fact you could say I got rid of my human "curruption" or anything thats ike that sh*t, I saw what scientology does to people and im getting f*cking sick of it, no f*cking scientologist will ever be able to touch me, sue me, or whatever, let them try, I want to stop them too, just give me the word and some supporters and I will utterly DESTROY THEM
