I gotta side with DoomFrost on this one. While I agree that God does indeed bite the big one, most of these pictures are the choices humans make, not God. Although the starving innocents and all... Yeah, that's the Big Guy's doing.

True, but with circular reasoning God created humans. So he must have done a sh*t half assed job. Looks like its up to humans rather than god to do the right thing.

Yeah, see, theres this thing called free will. That means you can be a asstard and do whatever you want. It is up to humans to be good. God had nothing to do with those things. As for the unfortunate unperfectness of life, that is the way it is. Its our job to overcome these things. By showing pictures of what you would call the "less fortunate", you are making the statement that their life sucks. Therefore you are using your free will to be a terrible person.

^^^to clarrify, how bout you try and do something about it. Those in poverty are in poverty both because they don't know how to get out of it and because most people don't give a sh*t. There are those in poverty to put themselves there and those who need help from those that have the means to help them. It all comes down to free will. It has nothing to do with the goodness of God whether you believe in God or not.

you're correct when you argue that this is the fault of man instead of god; there's about as much reason to believe in god as there is to believe in the tooth fairy.

Wow what a great smear add, you should work for the re-election add agencies. I don’t remember where it says that God is going to stop free will from those who wish to use it for evil purposes. God loves all, including the evil and hopes they will return to good. If he killed everyone before they sinned we’d all be dead, hell we wouldn’t exsist.

Can you explain the complexities of life? How complex structures such as your eyes, ears, and organs work? Please enlighten me as to how you can believe that your existence just sprung into life. Sure the Christian God is the equivalent of some past king, but such a fundamental concept certainly outrules your douchebag opinion.

Scathing. Anyone who says these things don't have to do with God obviously are ignoring that he "is" in control of everything, that's why he's God. If God is what people say he is, he could have prevented everything that happened. Yes, man does these things to himself, but only an evil or absent God would allow him to do so.

And all these morons that are defending god with their bs "free will" arguments also believe god has a divine plan for them where he mapped out everything that will happen to them in their lives. And these morons believe that he has a divine plan for everyone. So really what I'm saying here are not my thoughts, god's putting them in my head. So those people weren't responsible for the deaths of all those other people cause god planned it that way.

Anyone else find it ironic how "followers of Christ" are insulting the YTMND maker? I mean, Christian's before Constantine refused to carry arms and participate in the military, but when Constantine got his hands on the religion those morals seemed too inconvenient for him, just like love thy neighbor as you would love yourself seems quite inconvenient for many other self-proclaimed Christian's on YTMND.

If we are responsible for what we create, and God created man, does this not make God responsible for what man has wrought? That's the flaw in monotheism- by giving all power and knowledge to a single deity, blame and praise are equally deserved, and anyone who ignores the former to only give the latter is blind. That's right. Your God made man, knowing -in advance- every vile, disgusting, angelic, and loving action man would do. Of course, if it was the only way good things could be done, was it worth it?
December 21st, 2008
(-1)
If we are responsible for what we create, and God created man, does this not make God responsible for what man has wrought? No, because God gives men the choice to do good or evil. If men make a conscious decision to behave like retarded monkeys the responsibility is man's alone.

Ok Master, how about this... From a Christian perspective, are there not two types of sin? sins of commision and omission. Commision you do, omission you fail to do. So if you see a person mugging a women and you don't stop it that is a sin of omission as far as the Church is concerned. If these are the standards we are held to why is God magically held to some lower standard? He doesn't have to destroy free will, but falty dentonation system in the Hiroshima bomb might of been nice.
December 22nd, 2008
(0)
"So if you see a person mugging a women and you don't stop it that is a sin of omission as far as the Church is concerned." The church is not God. There is only one type of sin and sin simply means "disobedience". How does God disobey Himself? As for Hiroshima, are you saying living under the threat of imperialist Japan was a better idea? Humanist sentiment is nice, but fails when your enemy is hellbent on your destruction. No, Hiroshima and Nagasaki are what ended that war.

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? -Epicurus

A common quote that's incorrectly interpreted. Epicurus was referring to the notion of a benevolent Greek god, not the monotheistic Judeo-Christian or Islamic god (i.e. "God" or "Allah")... probably because Hebrews were a small ethnic cult nearly 1000 miles away and Islam wouldn't exist for another 1000 years.

You live in a house, went to school up to 6th grade, and have watched the weather channel at least once, grow up. take responsibility for your actions, and come out of your man-made comfort bubble. There is no god.
December 23rd, 2008
(0)
I take responsibility for my own actions, that's the whole f*cking point to begin with that i was arguing about. Blaming god for sh*t humans do is stupid. i believe every single aspect of scientific truth, alongside faith, so back off. It's not really effective when 2 random ytmnders challenge me on faith like i'm some martyr to the cause, meanwhile, 4 billion or so other individuals have faith, I'm certainly not alone, and I'm certainly more advanced than a lot of them when i say i believe in science 100%.
December 24th, 2008

Pretty much. And the irony in it all is morons treating science as a faith instead. It's induction, morons, not a belief system. So when other people say you have no morals, now you know why -- because it's true, you don't.

I'm pretty utilitarian, so I don't have much interest in religious or philosophical discussions. But I find it interesting that, on the one hand, religious folks acknowledge that we can't understand God or know his plan, but on the other hand, they're constantly carrying on about how this or that is "God's plan." I'll stick with science-at least there are solutions and answers to be found therein.

Bingo. The reality of there being a god or not is simply in the ability to prove (or produce) this god... and since this has yet to be done other than images on some middle-aged mexican's breakfast toast, I'll stick with that which has been proven. Children's bedtime stories and medival population control is the sum of the belief in god. Bow down my pretties...

God could exist, and just not give a sh*t... What say you about that? Why do people think for him to exist, he would actually care about whats going on here... Who knows... maybe he just farted passing while through our galaxy and in its magnificance came our planet.

That's funny. I had marked this site for deletion in late 2006 and thought it was gone.

I used to think posting offensive imagery that has been on the Internet for months made me badass, but then I turned 15.

Most if not all suffering stems from either: sin or nature. You cannot fault God for the sins of humans. So why should He allow natural suffering? I don't know, but perhaps we can ask Him if we meet Him. I'm not going to bitch about nature though, since it is simultaneously beautiful and painful and I think with the natural world you have to accept some risk and suffering.

You can ask the brick wall or the spaghetti monster what it thinks about the order of nature... the response will be the same. Nature is survival of the fittest and the food chain follows accordingly. Strike me the f*ck down, but there is no god, at least nothing close to the fabrication humanity has been poisoned with.
