"...Playstation is for adults..." Yeah, you keep telling yourself that. I could be wrong, but I think 21 (my age) is considered an adult in some parts of the world, and the PS3 looks sh*tty to me. It's just for people who have engraved in their tiny minds that the only important thing when it comes to gaming is graphics. There are very few exclusive titles. Blu-Ray will fail, it's coming out WAY too early. How many here actually have a TV that can handle 1080p? Sony's gonna be in last place this time.
I preordered several PS3s at Gamestop today (hahaha if you didn't know). When they come in, I will get alot for them on Ebay. I will get one for 100 bucks used in about a year for myself. PS3 will be in the cut out bin with Dreamcast and Jaguar in about another year.
Wii is cheap to try from the very beginning. Win.

-brought back the idea of a light gun
-can plug into a computer monitor
Lets look at the ps3
-expensive
-big
-bulky
-games are 1 use on it, once you play a game on one ps3, it wont work on another
- has no real good feature other than a freaking huge storage
-fine, maybe it has SLIGHTLY better graphics, the graphics on the 360 and Wii may only be 90% as good, but the ps3 still suck

because" Wii knows what real gamers want: GAME PLAY. If I wanted to drop good money to get some amazing graphics I'd stick with my PC, which currently looks better than what PS3 is planning to push out. But hey, atleast your picture can look REALLY REALLY good and you'll have a reason to be smug.
Yes, nintendo is for little kids. It's also for older kids, teens, girls, adults, and te elderly. it's for asians, caucasians, hispanics, africans, and whoever else wants to use it. The point is that the wii is designed to have the widest possible audience, that's why they have every kind of game from wii sports to Zelda to Res Steel, so anyone can play, even if they aren't hardcore. Nintendo wants people to get into gaming who normally wouldn't, so while us Wii owners are making new friends and having
a good time, PS3 owners are considered to be even more like the steriotype ners in a basement who don't go socialize. When you get your ps3, try asking your grandparent to play. They will only get confused at the foreign boject you hand them and not want to do it again. But everyone knows what a remote is, and if others recognize it as such they will be far more willing to use something familiar to them. The wiimote is not a "gimmick", nor is it "Gay". It's simply a more accesible way to play games.

i don't know why you ps3 fans are upset. who cares if nintendo gets more market share.... they are expanding the market. the wii isn't even competing with the ps3 so don't worry. nintendo's president said the wii is not a next-gen system. if anything, it is competing with the ps2. the ps3 will still attract hardcore gamers. as for me.. i'm getting a wii because i like to play video games casualy, and i have a fast PC for powerful graphics. stop worrying. sony won't go out of business.
To everyone who thinks the wii is an "overhyped gamecube". (Cough) Well, not talking about this next-gen war, but i think it's funny that the cheapest current gen system is more powerful than the PS2. And maybe it would be educational for those idiots to use a mighty tool that came into existance awhile ago called "google". Please, look ath Gamecube graphics then Wii. I mean, there are major graphical differences between Twilight Princess for Wii and Gamecube. Major... (Wii has specular lighting, HDR, etc)
Umm pretty sure PS3 is coming with a browser... Sony has been going on and on about it.... plus im pretty sure last I heard it is coming with HD cables.
You also forgot to add that it also comes with BluRay, and 60 gb of space(20 for the other .. which now includes HDMI). Oh and dont forget its Backwards Compatibility is free(PS1 and PS2 :D) and you dont have to wait for games to be released or pay for it(why hello dere virtual console)

I love the system, cant stand the name. Most people around here still call it Revolution. regardless of the name, still a far superior system to the PS-insert-number-here and the Gatesbox 360 (Down with microsoft, (nothing personal against sony just never played em much) and BRING BACK SEGA CONSOLES!)
It's funny how people I don't know can actually make me not want a Wii. Is it just me or are Nintendo fanboys getting worse with every "console war"? Fortunately for me, I can afford to purchase a PS3 as well as a Wii. If I couldn't afford both, I'd start with the Wii due to availability and get a PS3 down the road. I = Teh Win
The Sony PS3 is coming with their own version of Linux which means that it most likely will come with Firefox. But to be honest I have my PC for surfing the internets. I don't need a GAME console to do that. a game console is for playing GAMES not surfing porn.

wow...just wow..I gave you a 3 because it was well done, but you lost stars for being a fanboyish idiot 1.browser IS INCLUDED FOR FREE on ps3, however wii's is only free until june, which is hardly a year. 2. the only people wanting hdmi cables are the ones who have no problem with spending a few extra dollars because they are the ones who spent thousands on an 1080p hdtv.
PS3 and Xbox 360 fans seem to care soooo much about any system's graphics, and the Wii's not about that. The games are going to be awesome, and franchising/selling games is extremely cost efficient for Nintendo, in the way that the gamer simply downloads games, which is just data, onto the system. Oh yeah, Super Smash Bros. Brawl is being released at the end of December :(, and I still have no idea how I'll ever get used to the controls for that game. Eh, I still like calling it the Revolution. Miis rule!

@people who say "the Wii remote is gay": Have you played it yet? Oh, I'm sorry, you HAVEN'T. You're already used to the PS3's controller design (identical to the PS2, ergonomically speaking) so of COURSE you'll be happy with it. That's the problem: Sony lacks innovation. The Wii is something new and unique, and truly innovative. Don't knock it until you've held it in our hands and gotten a feel for how it plays in real life... otherwise you just look more like a fanboy than any of us Nintendo geeks.

Yes, because console game systems aren't about the quality its how cheap they are. Everyone go out and buy your best choice brand it will save ya the cash.
