okay, here are other cries of the infidels, braver men than you. "Shoot me you coward, you are only killing a man." -Che Guevara
"Is there a God? I do not know. Is man immortal? I do not know. One thing I do know, and that is, that neither hope, nor fear, belief, nor denial, can change the fact. It is as it is, and it will be as it must be. " -Robert G. Ingersoll "That sort of God is, I think, not one that can actually be disproved, as I think the omnipotent and benevolent creator can." -Bertrand Russell
It's this kind of fire and brimstone bull that makes people say "LOL CHRISTIANS SUXX LOL." Thanks for setting back the whole "loving religion" thing back a few hundred years, c*ckbite.
You spend 7 minutes saying "If you're not a good christian, you will A) automatically be an *ssh*le and B) have a sucky death and go to hell." You use round logic with your sources. This is not only the worst YTMND I have ever seen, but you fail as a theologist and a debater.
Also I'd like to add that I went back and changed my vote to a one after all these months, simply because I finally learned the science of how the brain reacts when it dies. Goes back to my previous argument, and also, you made the claim that drugs keep people doped up: on the contrary, it is the brain that does it on its own, firing off all sorts of chemical imbalances in its death throes. It is similar to overdosing on hallucinatory drugs. So yeah. Get out.
your kidding right? I dont know if this is supposed to envoke some sort of deeper thinking about death or what... heaven and hell are delusions of a materialistic mind.... our souls and god are intangible.... trying to explain or thinking you already have is iggnorant and blasphemous.... If heaven and hell were more than mere notions then we would experiance them on a completely intangible level..... to conclude.... what these sceptics witnessed were exactly what you said in the end.....
Whetstone "Make a Ytmnd about people who have seen the gates of heaven on their deathbed instead of the "infidels" who witnessed the pits of hell." This is actually my next project :D" Your next project should be true scientific evidence, not more accounts. What are you proving with this? The power of God with testimonies of his greatness? I am pretty sure the Bible does that, and a hell of a lot better than you ever will. Find some REAL proof. Waste your life looking for the ark or the holy grail
I mean, it's cool that you believe that the Messiah has actually come and that when you die there are a heaven and a hell, but this YTMND does cross the line in saying it is punishable to not believe in these things. As a Jew (and yes I expect some anti-semetic comments now) I do not believe the Messiah has come yet and that when I die I "go with God" not to heaven or hell. I certainly do not expect you to drop your faith to accept mine as truth, so I expect the same respect in return.
Also, don't say I'm ok just because I believe in the Abrahamic God, but the "athiest infadels"are true sinners. It is no more acceptible to believe one thing over another. Not believing in God does not equal having no belief in anything at all. Cut the athiests some slack, they're all good, decent people, and most of them aren't pushing athiesm on you.
I like religion, it helps alot of folks out there who need the assistance it provides. Hell my whole family is practically Christain. I just don't get why they feel the need to convert others to their cause, does it make ya feel good inside or more confident? :). If ya wanna waste the only life you have preaching 2000 year old nonsense from a source that cannot be proven, go ahead, but don't waste my time with your crap :).
As I recall, Voltaire's last words went a little like this (translated from the original 18th century of French, which I'm sure whetstone can speak couramment):
Priest: Renounce Satan!
Voltaire: Now, now my dear man, this is no time to make new enemies.
I know this because I was there, for I am Satan himself. Voltaire and I are now good friends. We have tea and scones on Tuesdays, and we hire prostitutes on Thursday. It's absolutely splendid!
