a neat trick thats really got to be done first hand to be fully appreciated. basically, you microwave any foil-backed wrapper for a few seconds, and it will shrink.

"...magnetron's life being shortened if you pull crap like this. No
explosions--just excessive wear from misuse..."
yeah that's what I've heard too. I did that once with a little container of butter (foil backed) just after I woke up to get breakfast (so I wasnt really thinking). I wouldn't do that too much unless you don't mind junking up stuff with broken microwaves.
Now stick your head inside the microwave and inhale deeply. Do this with a few bags until you've killed enough braincells that you can't breathe anymore. And you're done. This is cool, but not really ytmnd-worthy. More like a flash animation, or maybe a forum post. Inkdrinker would have three words to say to you.
This looked kinda cool, so I tried it out yesterday before I went to work. Turns out our microwave was too old to do this correctly. Instead it began to spark way too much and before I could open it to stop it from catching on fire, it burst into flames. It quickly spread to the table cloth and before I could put the fire out with my sink, it caught the curtains on fire. Then my cat caught on fire. NEDM
i new what this was gonna be when i saw bagshrink :P my old babysitter when I was a kid used to tell me and bro about these things all the time (much to the dismay of my parents) but she told us if you put it in for too long it would explode or burst into flame or something, cause some people were doing it at school and someone tryed doing it for a really long time (like maybe 10 seconds more) and there was a small fire :P haha it also reminds me of when my friend put a sponge in the school microwave in 8th
