I liked, I know its not humors other then the (1 star to 5 stars) at the beginning... I'm still giving it a 5 because it so true. I have a recommendation. Even though FAV(orite)ing isn't voting, people have been abusing it. adding FAV to every site. wouldn't that be included their... its like a new up/down vote thing. in another sense?
3 for effort, but a few things... for one, you're implying that every YTMND has to be funny. I can like a YTMND but not find it funny (it can have sexy women or a cool image loop). The WoW citing is out of place and not very funny, so according to your guide, I should vote 2, and you don't cite the "For Dummies" book series, which I'm sure you used to make this site. However, all that being said, it's a genuine attempt to be informational if only flawed.
Okay, citing sources is NOT important at ALL. YTMNDs are often funnier if the source of the sound or sometimes the image is unknown. It creates more buzz and mystery. Take orly for example. If I had known that the sound was just some random song about aquatic life, it wouldn't have been nearly as funny.
I'm giving this a 1 because it wasn't funny, or original, and because under your system, 5's are way too easy to give and 1-2's are too easy to give, and additionally, to give something a 1 or a 5, requires different reasons than just degrees of humor. And of course, the goal of every ytmnd is not humor, so you get a 2, not a 1.
As for a lack of citing and theft: an automatic 1 for theft should be only given under really a strong sense that the poster is trying to claim it as its own. Using 1's to try and stop some clutter and copies is not going to work either. More like 1 star off the rating because there was no source or its a duplicate is more reasonable. It's hard to be sure, really.
Actually, this is not really that far off as I make it seem, I'm just criticizing bitter little points and ignoring the general intention and affect of the ytmnd. Since I am capable of dynamic introspective thoughts, I will have my gut reaction and intellectual appraisal have discourse and reassign a rating more distanced from my subjective point of view.
