Is that Donkey Kong?

What effect is that? I can't work it out. I think its a flip between negitive and positive with colour change, but can't be sure.

I live in England, and heard of none of them... im guessing there resturants? but, the alien one was pretty close icon to 'space raiders crisps' here in England.
