i have a nice low mileage mountaineer, it gets sucky mileage, I don't drive much and it sits in a parking lot. I use it in the winter when its really cruddy out. Talking about politics is like talking about the weather... nothing much you can do about it. Remember when Gore won the 2000 election but Jeb Bush's state had "hanging chads" so with a "win" by 537 (which is pretty much ZERO percent) his big brother could get the Florida electoral vote?
