Thats awesome man. Nice programming, although applying a humanisation algorithm (kinda the opposite of quantization) would make it sound a bit less mechanical.
You my good sir, win the internet. Although sadly I don't think the nes had such portamento abilities built into its soundchip, but you know what? I dont care! This wins!
See this is actually pretty cool, you've gone to the effort to do it and it's as good as it needs to be. Sure, the rhythm isn't perfect but this is why I dislike 'classically trained' music geeks. I do a music tech course at university and I get people bragging to me about their 40 years of classical piano training by Ludwig van Beethoven's mother. I don't care. 90% of what you play is someone else's work, what's that adding to music as an art? And hell, the stuff write yourself sounds cliché. Rant over.
OMG thats f*cking weird. I was literally JUST playing Avril 14th by Aphex Twin on my keyboard before I looked at this! Woah. Oh yeah and it's funny hahah.
Hahaha nice one this is pretty awesome. Although it is definately leaning towards lounge its still awesome.
