Ok, I just have to say this. As for the whole "something from nothing" deal, you should have no problem with it. You believe in the incredible as a way of life, why have a problem with one thing beyond present man's thinking? Just because we haven't the proper methods to determine the beginning of matter (or if there ever really was nothing) doesn't mean you and the other religious people do have those methods. YOU're not even trying to know the truth. Ok, now I'm done talking.
but had anything gone differently (by chance, oooh) then that would be the norm and it would seem that this alternate universe was intelligently designed. It's like rolling a die, and after getting a 4 deciding that god made you roll it, likewise if you got a 3 or anything else. I could go on, but you're probably not considering the truth as a possibility anyway.
First of all, the earth has been around for 5 billion years. Not zillions. Second, things don't "decide" to evolve. It's a natural process, just as gravity and can be clearly explained with total facts. Third, I ask that you stop seeing things in black and white. The whole "by chance, o rly?" theory is flawed beyond belief. Intelligent design IS NOT the only way this universe may have formed, (cont'd...)
