The amazing thing isn't that a rap producer didn't use an original source, because that's just commonplace enough in ALL forms of music dating back to the 1700's. As a jazz musician, I am encouraged to use quotes from other songs in my improvisations. No, the amazing thing, if this is a true story, is that someone like Timbaland is using a Commodore 64 conversion. Which just goes to show you: If you're gonna steal, steal from the best.
And to those saying he'd win in a court of law....well, you're wrong.
