part of the magic of early YTMND was definitely the hip "before it gets mainstream" appeal - seeing it evolve and thrive as an internet community, generating fads/memes and getting in wars with other sites. but the fad aspect of YTMND was its downfall. for every clever, original site there were plenty of ripoffs. this nostalgia over great sites in the absence of actually making good content is so bad here that it's gotten to the point where the top rated site is a complaint that "YTMND isn't as good as it used to be." also, cocks
