Reminds me of the mental disabilities awareness commercials that are on now where this guy and his friend are 'playing' a fighting game and both fighters are just standing there in a fighting stance while it says 'ready' over and over again.
Dr. Eggman was his Japanese name, Dr. Robotnik was his English name. Eventually Eggman was made his name in English too. Both names are kinda dumb, but Robotnik sounds 500x better than Eggman...
I'm suddenly reminded of that food song from Charlotte's Web when they are trying to convince the rat to go to the fair. That must have been what they sang to Jek to get him to blow up the Death Star.
The Rebel Alliance couldn't exactly be very picky with their pilots. Luke was given one at the last minute, and considering how the planet was about to be destroyed, anyone who could fly was likely given a fighter.
I imagine that the people one staring because they don't get the joke probably don't have a reason to care about their credit report. So, why would they bother to dig into why the commercial is 'actually funny' when they have no reason to?
It seemed like a good idea for a show, but it never really caught on with me for some reason. Even though I never watched it that much, it's too bad the series never had closure.
