Dude, we hear it all the time up here. We try to order something and get told they don't ship to foreign countries. Occasionally you'll even hear tourists from the lower 48 asking where they can change their money into Alaskan money. I suppose I over exaggerated when I said MOST of America. But from experience, there seems to be a good number that don't know Alaska is a state.
