zippyjon - "You should def put in the heiyoyoyu
though, though for now, 5'd. "
Haha... I tried! I cannot find that sound file anywhere. I might have to dig out and reinstall the game just to get it.
+10 for anti-PETA. +10 for dead Canada Geese (those things are nothing but giant flying rats - they sh*t all over the place).
-15 'cause 5 is all I can give you.
cooke - I gave you a 5 and a 4 on two of your Walken sites, even after you 1'd this. I also gave you a couple 2's and a couple 3's.
I was just checking over your stuff - not avenging. I thought you were downvoting my site for no good reason, yes, but that's your right.
I try to be fair, and I am aware that votes are documented. I tend to vote high or low (especially on things I think are under-rated or over-rated) and ignore stuff I think is just mediocre, and my average vote is still 2.32 - almost dead in the middle. I'll stand by that.
If you look at the link in the description, you'll see it explained thus by the creator:
"This animated gif was made with the method developed by William T. Freeman, Edward H. Adelson, and David J. Heeger at the Media Laboratory of Massachusetts Institute of Technology and published in Volume 25, of SIGGRAPH '91 Conference Proceedings. It uses "a quadrature pair of oriented filters to vary the local phase, giving the sensation of motion". I tested this method, by writing a C++ program to apply filters to an image in such a way that it's upper left part (above the diagoval) appears to move right and upward, and lower right part appears to move in the opposite direction, which is just right for the picture of M. C. Escher "Drawing Hands":"
I'll explain further - first of all, there is no actual "movement" in animation - it's all just still frames that give illusion of "movement." That's part of the artistic statement that's lost on some folks.
Next, even in conventional animation terms, this image is NOT moving. It's a trick of virtual "light."
"There is movement, though. If you look at the diagonal line going from the
top right of the picture to the bottom left you can see that. YOU FAIL/LIE!"
---lol, people are dumb.
Upon further review, I come to appreciate the weaving of excitebike into the 80s motif of the movie. This + image flip for NES realism + improved physics elevates you from 5 to fav.
Victory.
I don't understand why people object to sponsoring your own site. I think that's part of why Max instituted it. People donate to YTMND and their site gets seen a little more. Max still wins.
That being said, this site is weak.
+3 to make up for sponsorship nazi downvotes. ;p
