What I suggest you change is to make the speed that Mario runs at constant and then work on making the area more blurred and constant. Right now there's a sharp line along the background image. You may want to remove the top and bottom so the score and time isn't there. I remember seeing a "lol, tutorial" somewhere on ytmnd. It can give you more tips than me.
