If you actually knew anything about global warming, you would now that this statement is actually further proof of global warming. Global warming will, I repeat, will not necessarily mean an average rise in temperature across the globe. What global warming does mean however is that there will be an increased temperature variance across the globe. Therefore when it is hot, it will be hotter than usual, and when it is cold it will be colder than usual. See www.noaa.gov and www.ipcc.ch for further details.
