It really doesn't prove anything. Hundreds or even thousands of people wouldn't need to know eachother and conspire in order to all see the same thing when near death because everyone is familiar with what Hell is supposedly like. Also, if near death, the brain releases chemicals licken to downer substances, meaning they would get visions of hopelessness. These visions are a part of human evolution, necessary to convince fellow people in a life-and-death situation to be disturbed by them and move on.
From what I understand, Maddox runs that "Best Page in the Universe" blog that people link all the time, and is famous for using circular logic to have childish arguments with people who Email him about meaningless pop culture references angering them.
