1 Point and here's why: It's more pathetic than sad: A mother who feels she needs to set her place as such by delivering material gifts, and since she can't go out and do it for real, she feels that pixels speak louder than words. It's real heartwarming to a kid to find out that a mother tried to 'score points' as a mom by specifically doing a task that does not involve spending time with said kid.
