Max, if you really believe in the dream you would give this site some sort of moderation. Umfuld's said it a million times and he's right. There are too many cancerous parasites on this site and its gone from thriving, to being comatose and on life support.Users like farkle, santabotai, pilleater, joshcube, johnnylurg and their combined 10.000 alt accounts are what destroyed this place. No one wants to put any effort into creating any content when there are about 10 circle jerking faggots downvoting anything of value and upvoting moonman, santabot, mr.krabs, and party mouse sites. No one wants to view anything because anything of vaule is quickly banished into oblivion and everything on up and coming is vote hacked trash.
I understand why you've hesitated so long on moderation but if you really want to resurrect this site then it is the only way. Complete freedom of expression is one of the things that made this place great a long time ago but in the end it appears to be the same thing that's killed it. You have to get some mods and there are still a few quality users here who I'm sure would do it. You could assign mod tiers and promote people when they moderate responsibly and revoke their mod status if they start banning user accounts based personal grudges. You could make it so accounts can't be permanently deleted unless the mods vote on it. Hell you could even be lazy and just have a group of users of your choice get together in chat at a designated time and vote out cancerous user accounts and send the results of the vote to you if you are too lazy to fuck around with the code for a mod system.
So do you really care at all about this place max? It made you a pseudo celebrity once. Now it's good for buying you a bottle of grey goose every other week. So will you do something to fix it? Or will you give us another news update in 9 months briefly informing us of a con you will be attending.
Also, I'm back bitches.

I was going to say that you should have turned the moon into Moon Man at the end, but right away I remembered that it would be a horrible idea. The idea that Moon Man is all that's left of YTMND (and Max doing nothing about it) would be funny in itself, but too many people are sick of Moon Man. Therefore this site would not have gotten this good of a rating.
The idea that moonman was ever funny is one of many long standing myths of ytmnd. What happened was that moonman bombarded your senses over and over until you were forced to acknowledge it. That's it. Your brain confused that feeling of familiarity with fondness. The distinction is not made because ytmnd has developed within you a simulacrum for humor to cope with the absence of the real thing. It doesn't matter that the blanket is nothing more than a sheet of newspaper as long the idea (comfort) remains intact, right?
Moon man being the only recurring theme left on ytmnd is way past the point of being funny also, because hanging a lampshade on it would only prove at the very least that you realized the truth way too late. There is no irony left, and no amount of self-awareness can excuse it: we have reached the logical endpoint.

Leona was born in an unnamed village, residing with her family. When she was a child, Goenitz arrived at her home and demanded to talk with Guidel, the leader of the village. He requested that Guidel join him in their duties to serve Orochi, as everyone in the village were Orochi bloodline members. However, Guidel refused as he and his family liked peace and not the violent tendencies created by the Orochi blood. Enraged, Goenitz leaves, but not before smiling towards Leona. The same night, Leona underwent the Riot of Blood and slaughtered everyone in the village. Goenitz, pleased by the results, puts her blood lust to rest for another time "when he needs her again". Dazed and shocked, she loses her memories and wanders aimlessly until she is found and later adopted by Heidern. Surprised by her natural fighting ability, he decides to raise her as a warrior under his command.
In 1996, Leona is in her late teens and a capable mercenary. She receives her first official mission: she must take Heidern's place in the Ikari Team for the year's King of Fighters tournament. Her partners were Heidern's favorite mercenaries: Ralf and Clark. Their mission was to investigate Geese Howard, the Southtown kingpin of crime, who had entered the tournament in search of an unknown goal. Knowing that anything Geese may be after could only mean trouble, the new Ikari Team began their mission. During the events of the '96 finals, Goenitz confronts her and reminds her of her Orochi lineage, causing her to worry about the future.

Her troubled state carried over to the battlefield, which eventually lead to her and her partners' suspension from military service. Wanting to cheer her up, Ralf enlists them again in the the next year's tournament. She eventually remembers her past fully during the events of King of Fighters '97. Towards the tournament finals, Leona, along with Iori, suddenly went into the Riot of the Blood, induced by Orochi. By the tournament's end, she is successfully subdued and Orochi is sealed away again. Even so, Leona regrets her actions and attempts to end her life. Ralf stops her, and encourages her to continue living.
Leona stays as a member of Ikari team for each and every King of Fighters tournaments during the NESTS saga. It was assumed she partook in her normal duties with Heidern during this time frame.
In 2003, at the end of the tournament, Orochi's presence was getting stronger, as the seal was broken again. She entered the Riot of the Blood again and attacked Ralf and Clark, badly injuring them. She was pulled out of the team by Heidern in The King of Fighters XI due to the emotional trauma she suffered after the incident. Overcoming the shock, she is designated to join the KOF XIII tournament with her old teammates, determined to live with whatever flaws the Orochi blood invokes. After the tournament's climax, she loses consciousness and sleeps for several days. Her teammates were worried for her and stay beside her until she awakens. Comforted by their concerns, she laughs for the first time in the series.
...and that is what happen to ytmnd today.
