During Season 2, Scott develops an odd fascination with guns and country music after spending the summer in between Seasons 1 and 2 visiting his grandparents in Oklahoma. His fixation of guns ends up accidentally killing him when he spins one during his birthday in front of David. His last words were, "Check this out." The gang buries a time capsule in Scott's memory. Some time later in season 3, David and Donna help his younger sister, Sue, denounce her sexually abusive uncle.
