lol, thanks. Yeah I know it's not as bad as some YTMND sites that end up on the front page. I can't help the apology though, I'm Canadian so it's one of the things we're known for - apologizing when there's no need. lol. Bugged my American friends while I was getting my undergrad in the U.S.

Correct - I used MOTU Digital Performer 5. I'm a professional music producer, and DP is geared towards professional production - especially pertaining to film scoring - and it has a lot more functionality than Audacity. Audacity is great for basic editing though, and given that it's free you can't go wrong. DP is mac-only though, and costs a pretty penny. I bought mine legitimately but you can probably find a cracked version online. Doesn't require a USB dongle like some other music production/recording software.
