War is actually good for overthrowing dictatorships bent on taking over Europe. It's also good for medicine and technology, because a lot of major advances in medicine occurred during the Civil War and the First World War. The military also develops technology for war that later has civilian uses, like for example nuclear power which is a clean and efficient source of energy. War is also good economically because many businesses benefit from war, which create jobs and it thereby spurs the greater economy. War is good for creating a sense of unity in a country because people come together for a common purpose.
