i have crappy software to make the image and audio, i used photoshop for the gif and vdub for sound, can u recommend anything better than those? lol

I really don't do much video ripping. I use ImageReady/Photoshop for making/editing gifs and Cool Edit Pro for audio. Audacity is a good basic audio program that's free.
