Whether you liked JD Salinger or not, Sean Connery's character in Finding Forrester is based on him.

You make a slide show ytmnd to defend the case of perhaps Forrester could also be harper lee, jack london, or bill cosby on the comment I made recently? I still think Forrester is just play as any other novelist-who-makes-a-best-selling-book-and-than-isolate-himself-from society-because-he-thinks-he-better-than-anyone-else-due-to-his-complex-college-level-philpsohy-that-nobody-really-cares-about. I think Forrestor is protrayed by the late great bill cosby, besides, what portrays Forrest as jd.sal?
i'm sorry, if Sean Connery is really acting like some famous author, than he would never of said "Your The Man Now Dog!". the YTMND line is out of the acting spirit of connery, not acting like sallinger. It's what connery would of said to any role, it's humor against how he acts, nothing to do with being a litature idol. If sallinger never existed, i'm pretty sure the movie would still be made in a different theme - and Connery would still say it. oh yes, also i don't give a sh*t about catcher in the rye.
