I like how Aronofsky's trying to get wrestlers into SAG.

syncing the audio with the blinking ram jam image was a very clever touch or a very lucky coincidence

If you watch this part in the movie, you'll hear sound effects from the Atari 2600's version of Pac Man, but I think the graphics are a modified version of Wrestlemania for NES.

The graphics are completely custom-made, and I can't remember if it's in the final cut, but a NES version of Quiet Riot's "Bang Your Head (Metal Health)" was also made.

At first, I thought it might have been a modified version of this game http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yy49sBHfUDI , but I think you're right. They look custom-made. The Wrestler was the best movie of last year. It's too bad that it didn't win the Academy Award. It's also too bad that Mickey Rourke didn't win an Academy Award for a role that really only comes around once in a lifetime. But we all know that the Academy's process doesn't always yield the best results. Perhaps one day he'll be recognized.

The link I posted is just the custom-made audio with footage from Pro Wrestling for NES. The visuals in "The Wrestler" is a separate, custom-made game using that audio.
