(or joke entries if you wanna be a dick) i know someone out there has 20 min to spare to make a quick 20 bucks. and like i said, the better and higher quality it is, the more i will pay. it's a small bar, this isn't some national chain. just a little dive cleveland bar looking for a lil help. you'll get money and a cool shirt and you can put design work for my bar/restaurant on your resume. there's lotsa good artists here, give it a shot.

thanks for everyone who stood up for me. understand i'm not trying to undercut "the graphic design" industry. i don't work for the 'man' and i'm not trying to exploit cheap labor to get my evil corporate mascot. we just needed somethin to throw on some shirts this summer for our new patio. i figured this would be a good way to reach some bored people with artistic talent and maybe a need for a lil cash. and thanks to all who are making serious efforts, & even the ones who just made me laugh my *ss off.
Its not that they are lazy, the purpose and usage are everything. If someone pays $20 to have someone draw some dumb pic for their kid or something then whatever. But if someone is asking for images intended to be reproduced and used to help a profitable business then fairness and ethics insist that the pay becomes more realistic.
it was probably wrong calling it a 'mascot'. it's just something my bar is going to throw on promotional posters and tshirts this summer. in retrospect $20 was a low offer, but i was honestly just trying to establish some initial contact about it and then probably end up paying more once i got some serious efforts and talked to someone. and actually some dude on here made a really good one and all he wanted was the $20 but he won't write me back to let me know how to pay him.
