Ya, but if you guys had any idea of what Israel has been through since it was founded back in 1949, you would understand where their hatred for the other nations of the Middle East came from. The whole entire Middle East hates Israel and wants it gone. The Middle East Coalition started this conflicted when it invaded Israel years ago and began a war that will most likely never end until the other side is dead.
What choice did they have? After World War 2, the Jewish people had no where to go. And it wasnt their idea to go to the Middle East, it some other organization, I think the U.N. Anyways, that land use to belong to the Jews hundreds of years ago. The tension over there will never break though. Religious disputes like this have no simple answer.
If countries have a right to respond to "as much" aggression as they get "and more," most of the world would be justified in obliterating the United States with nuclear weapons.
But see, reasonable people have this idea called "proportionality," and it suggests that responses should be measured against the stimulus. For example, instead of carpet bombing Gaza and using white phosphorous against civilians in violation of international law, maybe Israel can kill one Palestinan a year
This is a very gray topic, but my initial feelings are that Israel is in the right. It's just absolutely f*cking stupid that people shooting rockets into Israel don't see this as a consquence as their actions. If you attack someone with a better military, whatever you did will be 1/10 of what they do to you.
All wars are fought because both sides don't want to accept that they love gay sex and want to have it all the time all over each others face. This is refreshing to see, a site that accurately shows what the U.S. propaganda machine left out when they mentioned the fighting in gaza, as if it was an even battle. Hamas was created only to combat the terrible treatment of Palestinians by the Israeli government. 90% of you posting negative comments are so unbelievable ignorant. Your all force fed Israel/U.S. propaganda by your american history teachers and by the media, so you couldn't even comprehend another viewpoint. Think for yourselves, *ssh*les.
Well the Palestinian government hasn't done anything to curb Hamas. And at this point, considering how israel has been around... the country has a right to be there. All of their neighbors are pretty insistent on destroying them. If I was totally surrounded by countries that hated me, I probably would react with extreme force in order to deter incursions instead of taking it like a bitch. If the Palestinians in Gaza weren't constantly blowing themselves up, maybe Israel would treat them better?
Not nearly as good as the ytmnd documenting the attacks, this site depends too much on the shock value and the statistics, while more significant, have less impact because you are trying to stir up anger rather then make an appeal. Doesn't have the tragic humor either. Still, decent site and you point out that the media isn't treating isreal like we'd expect them to for this.
1.) Israel broke the cease fire FIRST. Not Hamas. 2.) Your more likely to die to a shark attack then get hit with a Hamas home-made rocket 3.) how do you expect them to react when they're forcefully barricaded in a few square miles of land with NO way to trade or provide things like BREAD, MILK, or GAS to their people.
Palestinians = Arabs that cannot (and refuse to) assimilate into their neighboring arab countries like good little followers of Allah. In what is best parralleled as a perpetual temper tantrum, they do everything they can to destroy Israel to try and claim what "sovereignty" they think they should have.
Israel should setup some casinos and titty bars over there. That would get them coexisting.
Throwing ancient and recent history, as well logic, out the window: let all of us American jingos remember why we are involved in this war in the first place. No, not dead children silly! Because of our Judeo-christian relationship with Israel. Not to mention the millions of dollars of campaign donations by the state of Israel to American pro-israel policy makers.
