(Moar Songz) YTMND Music in the 80s
The reason why the samples are so crappy is because the Fairlight was an 8-bit machine, so all the sounds are 8-bit with very low sample rates (11000hz, or even 8000hz).

The sample I used for What Is Love, is "ARR1" and that's in Art of Noise's Moments in Love, Tear for Fears - Shout, and other sh*t.

Songs AND hits from the 80's? Are you implying everything from the eighties isnt pure gold that we should instantly fawn over and 5 even if our nostalgia is for something we were in diapers for and only were exposed to years later?

Eat sh*t, emo f*g.

Emo wasn't referenced as a genre until the early 90's, with bands like Jawbreaker. Joy Division split in 1980. You must be new to music. Welcome, have a free cassette player.

Don't patronize me, c*cksucker. I know more about pop music history than you ever will. I never referred to JD as emo. I referred to you as emo for dismissing New Order for using synthesizers the same way every JD fanboy does.

Also, recall that New Order never used a CMI on their recordings. Tony Wilson, head of Factory Records, invested in the Hacienda nightclub instead of buying producer Martin Hannet a Fairlight IIx. This was later cited as being the primary reason he left Factory and filed a lawsuit against them.

All it needs is a punchier bassline patch and maybe a digi-flute to carry the vocal melody.

Why does noone ever say Me (as in downloaded a midi and ran the midi channels through this soundbank)?
August 24th, 2008
(0)
Actually, I transcribed everything except for the NSMB music; that song was downloaded the midi from vgmusic.com. NEDM and Picard Song were the hardest to transcribe, because of extra work to make sure the songs matched the melody of the original songs.

That's my third favorite song of all time.

No way, that thing sampled up to 100kHz. That means you can reproduced up to 50kHz before the signal would aliasing.

I was going by the site description, which states that "all the sounds are 8-bit with very low sample rates (11000hz, or even 8000hz)."

Wow, dude. Amazing. However, you've probably raised Fairlight values by another thousand dollars. Now I have an even lower chance of getting one.
