My friend went to some Alex Grey art exhibit / druggy rave in the city a few days ago. Had quite a lot of interesting stories. Apparently, he was rubbing a skull covered in paint to his elbow, then painted with his elbow. Amongst other quirky things.

It's called "Lost Keys (Blame Hoffman)" and it's on the album 10000 Days.

Did they name the song after this guy (the creator of LSD) or is it just a coincidence?

Since it was title blame Hofmann (German spelling), I would assume there is no coincedence.

Good song, but the voices at the end of it wouldve made this better. Gotta remember this for the next time I study Dr. Hofmann's work.

Jesus, he was ancient. If I live a third that long my mind will be blown. I can't even begin to imagine what it's like to live a century.

I went to this BBQ in Queens and Alex Grey was there with his wife and a bunch of other "interesting" characters. There was a very large Jamaican guy who kept hitting on this obese Wiccan woman and a mute girl with really thick glasses who was finger painting psychedelic butterflies on a bed sheet. Everyone sort of sat around in the backyard and some people played instruments, they brought out this tea and everyone drank it. By the end of the day the Jamaican guy must have rolled 10-15 joints and everyone

was pretty high, the tea had a lot to do with that, I suspect. Alex Grey just sat in the lawn chair with this grin on his face, the Wicken woman was chanting with her dwarf friends and the mute girl with thick eyeglasses climbed up into the tree and refused to come down.

I am so glad someone saluted this guy. He probably changed civilization more than any single person with this invention. This chemical was the spearhead for the counter culture of the sixties. Without him rock music would be totally different. He caused people to question the very state of reality itself.
