You people think it's cool to laugh at tragedy, but when it to you things will not be so funny. Islam seeks to subjugate every woman. The Muslims cut off a girl's clitoris when she is young, they force her to cover herself with burka and veil, they make her marry a Muslim man, and she is treated as a slave whose husband is all powerful over her. If at any time she deviates from Islamic law she can be stoned, hung, or even gang raped as punishment.
This tragedy is another warning for the American people, and American women in particular. There is no ideology which is as openly misogynistic and widely practiced as Islam. If anyone should hate Islam it is women. Yet who are the ones who most vehemently encourage inaction? Women's organizations like Code Pink. More proof of my saying, "Foolishness always ends up punishing itself"
The governments in Iran and Saudi-Arabia encourage this type of punishment for women. In fact Islamic religious law (Sharia) is even written into their official law, and they have police forces dedicated to enforcing it. We can't do anything about honour killings in those countries, the pacifists in our nation will not allow it. However the Muslims here must follow our law not Sharia law, and if they continue to refuse to then action must be take against Islam.
It isn't just one Muslims that does this. Two Muslim women have been killed in Dearborn Michigan, the USAs most Islamic city, in the last six months. In the Qur'an Sura 4:34 it says a man should beat his wives if they disobey him(wives is plural because many Muslims practice polygamy). Misogyny isn't just part of Islamic "extremism" it's at the core of the entire religion.
The Quran says: 4:34 . . . If you fear highhandedness from your wives, remind them [of the teaching of God], then ignore them when you go to bed, then hit them. If they obey you, you have no right to act against them. God is most high and great. (MAS Abdel Haleem, the Qur'an, Oxford UP, 2004) Proof what I said about Sura 4:34 is true, it recommends wife beating.
I didn't read all of what was said here, or much at all, but I agree with gr33nscr33n. She probably had sex with her boyfriend, so it probably wasn't just for having a boyfriend, but it's still wrong. Also we know Islam is a fucked up religion, but every religion is fucked up. Religion is holding back the world and needs to be eliminated.
1'd for crusading. Any sentiment the site could have had was ruined by your chasing after an entire religion. Do you actually know any Muslims, by chance? I know plenty. I've been to Muslim countries. Hell, my grandparents took Muslims to Christmas mass, and they in turn went to a mosque. Yes, it's terrible that the progressive Muslims aren't standing up against the atrocities, but their hands are mostly tied against such fanatacism.
Islam is obviously a far greater violent threat in modern times than Christianity or Judaism. It hardly matters what's written in their respective books, what matters is how the people act based on those books. In the vast majority of cases it is Muslims are who commit violent religious terrorism these days. You better get back in touch with reality.
If history has demonstrated anything, it is that religion or other widely accepted secular dogmas will inevitably be used as a pretext for violence; simply because there are no modern examples of the use of Christianity and Judaism for widespread violence does not mean it will not happen in the future. And in both of those faiths as well as Islam, such violence is mandated. Just because Islam is the only of the three causing major problems does not mean it is the only one you should be speaking out against.
Yeah, so how do you propose removing a religion from a country which has constitutionally enshrined rights to protect it? And what of the backlash from the true extremist Islam brethren in the real problem areas of the middle-east? How would those crazies react if their religion was barred in a country they already hate passionately?
I dont see how people can see shit like this and still defend religion. Absolutely disgusting. All religions are twisted in one way or another, but islam is by far the cruelest, most barbaric set of "laws" and customs known to man.

This is 2011, shit like this should not happen anywhere, under any circumstance. Islam is noting but a club for insecure men to act out barbaric manhood fantasies. They are cowards. I can only hope this man is executed for his crimes, but knowing the weak minded cowards who run the world hell just get off with imprisonment.
