This is the cancer that's killing ytmnd. The site was clever, but the fact that someone spent their own money to sponsor the site. This site. An inside joke about a user who, god forbid, is critical of people's work. Sites like this, inside jokes, are embraced... while genuinely funny ytmnds that ANYONE can appreciate (HTPAT) get locked down because they bring in too much traffic.
I suppose the reasons for closing HTPAT were legitimate, but I notice that any attempts to gain viewerships for a ytmnd off-site are frowned upon because a small group of egomaniacs seem to think its the creator's way of "cheating" to get on top viewed.

What the hell ever. And HTPAT is crap, but people didn't hate it because it was crap, they hated it because it got passed around the internet, got on top viewed, and kept their shitty inside jokes off of top-viewed. The only way for this site to stop growing smaller is to bring in new blood, and produce sites that any idiot browsing the internet can appreciate.
