Personally, I think he would have said JESUS F*CKING CHRIST if this movie were realistic. When you see a 500ft monster there are going to be a lot more F-bombs than potrayed. I mean a lot more. Like "Oh my f*cking god jesus f*cking christ f*cking look at that f*cking 500 f*cking foot f*cking tall f*cking monster!" I'm just saying.

my prophecy has come true. " 2008-01-19 02:13:18 MattressMan just watch - ten years after the Blair Witch Project comes out, a similar movie appears and from it comes the same retarded arguments instead of valid critiques. 1. "Duh, I'm too stupid to figure out in advance that a movie shot as a handheld camera would be shakey and disorienting" 2. "I have no imagination - exposition scenes to fill in all the blanks, please". Anyways Cloverfield was fun, if though frequently blatantly stupid and populate

No product placements? Well, no intentional ones anyway, but there were some pretty prominent vending machines and electronics shown, among other things. One can justify these placements by saying "Hey, it's New York, there are product logos everywhere." And it was fun to watch. I enjoyed it.

meaning as compared to the heroes in transformers being chevy products...imagine if the monster was a giant dvd box set of the 3rd season of lost that dropped vicious little blood thirsty brat dolls.but i was gonna say there was real booze at the party but it wasnt like they were forcing CAPTAIN AND COKES down each others throats

I can't stand people who complain that they didn't show the monster enough. There were more than enough clear, full shots of it throughout the movie, to the point where it was ridiculous to fathom that the main characters could actually survive as many close encounters as they did. It's an amazing movie if you can suspend your disbeliefs and not complain about trivial bullsh*t, which it appears most people can't.

the funniest part of that movie is in the electronics shop, where all the looters are watching teh mini starship trooper bugs drop of the giant critter. those bugs were the funniest things ever, with their little head exploding poisons.

No, no, the funniest part was when Generic Unrequited Love EXPLODES. That, or Generic Fake Soldiers Get Eviscerated By Puny Creatures They Could Easily Kill If They'd Just Calm The F*ck Down and Shoot ... scene.
