A tribute to Jim Henson
Jim Henson is my hero. He was a great man and should forever be remembered. There probably isn't a single person on here who didn't grow up watching and loving his work. I did and still do. RIP Jim. You are missed.

You do realize that the year 1990 happened around 18 years ago.

Henson was a bad-ass, and you all should realize this.

I'm going to be very serious for a moment. I have a friend who's an artist and I help him out and go to art shows and things. We meet alot of art buyers and studio owners and artists. People sometimes ask, who's your favorite artist, and I answer to them, Jim Henson, and it usually gets me baffled looks every time. Still, I continue to do this and will most likely till the day I die.

It's time to play the music, it's time to light the lights. It's time to meet the Muppets on the Muppet Show tonight!

Gosh, I can't think of many others who had an impact on my childhood. Also, DOWN IN FRAGGLE ROCK!

Yeah the world would definitely be a different place without JH. For one, I would simply be Vomiting. It's weird to imagine what would be in the slots of history filled by his creations, if he had never been around. This almost gets me to thinking of YTMND's where JH is hunted by terminators trying to erase Muppetdom, but that could be due to the fact I need sleep.

If you look at his roots, and how he started off his career, one would have not guessed that he would have made it as far as he did.

Jim Henson truly did make the world a better place . . . by . . . inserting his hand into the anus of a frog.

Thanks, *ssh*le. Just when I had come to grips with his death, you have to drag it up again and make me cry. I was hoping to save that for when I watched the "Jim Henson Trilogy" (Muppet Movie, Dark Crystal, Labyrinth) with my kids for the first time. I hate you and love you.
January 9th, 2008

Dark Crystal FTW

Quite possibly the only man in my lifetime to actually succeed in making the world a better place. The way the TV raised most of us, he probably helped teach us all to read. I propose we drop Midas, and begin to call it the Henson touch.

why are there so many songs about rainbows, and whats on the other side?

This just seems trite and redundant, as he died 18 years ago, it's not an anniversary of his death right now, and he has doubtlessly been paid tribute too countless times. It plays like a junior high school project.
January 14th, 2008

It was the 25 anniversary of Fraggle Rock. That was one of the things that triggered me to make it.

I hope that whatever Jim is doing now that is sparks the imagination of all who watches, like he did for us. The entire world lost a greal deal of imagination with his passing. We miss you, we hope you are doing well.

Wow, being the first person in this whole comment to notice he has been dead for a long, I salute you. No one else even mentioned the fact he has been dead for a while. You sir, are a genius!
