This isn't Myspace. It's cool that you sponsored for YTMND, but man this site isn't for this sort of thing. Also, what is that sh*t in the last part of this song? Are you trying to mix sh*t with death metal? Take out the screaming. It just makes you guy's seem like you're trying way too hard to be something you're not.
Five steps on how to be a complete tool:
1. Make a sh*tty band.
2. Enter yourself into a contest that no one cares about.
3. Advertise your sh*tty music on ytmnd with your worst song.
4. Expect those users to shower you with praise despite it being an incredibly subjective medium.
5. Whine about how poorly recieved your site is and defend it relentlessly against all logic.
6. Disregard all criticism thinking it will go away, and that your band will suck less the more you defend it.
The funny part is that I made this comment before this site was sponsored. At first, he accidently sponsored max's "money has no artistic value" site, and they somehow must have moved the $57 here. Before the switch, I came on here and blindly upvoted this site because he donated such a large amount of money to YTMND. And seeing that everyone else, who voted 5 and commented, had all their comments downvoted, I was surprised to see mine with a +13 by it. For the record, I still haven't listened to this site.
I'd suggest taking whatever money you might get and investing it into the funds of either a sick equalizer system, or that and someone who knows how to work it. Not an insult, but that's how you get going big time. For example, the song "Dance of the Manatee" by Fair to Midland sounds awesome on the Myspace video because it was tuned and all the pitches were straightened out; the original song without it... ehh, not so much.
my advice is to pool your money together and go to community college or open up a tattoo parlor or a guitar repair shop or something to fall back on since there's literally thousands of bands out there that sound exactly like you and have the same skill level as you and none of you will ever make it big. you'll just end up playing sh*tty gigs for small, uninterested crowds in small-town bars for the next 10 years then the band will fall apart and you'll become coke junkies or kill yourselves or some sh*t
Decent song, I'd listen to it again. In this case, the Vocal change without a musical change is extremely gay and all these poser bands are doing it. Change it up for christ's sake. The drum bass trick is annoying too. Oh, and your pic sucks. If your pic is generic and doesn't say anything, why am I supposed to think your music is going to be artistic and not the same ole sh!t?
Holy f*ck, get the recording equipment and do it yourself for that money, it isn't hard. In fact, don't; judging by the amount of mistakes you made just posting here you probably couldn't handle recording and mixing your own songs. Not to mention the waste of money it would be on your guitar center band, donate your cash to some musician charity or at least pawn that guitar center gear and give the money to the homeless. Your band is horribly unimaginative and generic, enjoy your failure.
bad place to promote anything, +1 for the most interesting comment section i've read in a while, plus you arent THAT bad for a local band but i agree its a little too generic/cookie cutter sounding to be anything more than that, keep at it tho, not bad stuff for a bar or something like that right now, however i also agree the screaming stuff is getting old
i wasnt gonna say this until i read this comment, maybe its the recording quality, but honestly i think the singer seriously lacks charisma, he doesnt make me want to know what hes feeling, he just kinda lazily (and off-key) does it like its a chore. other than that i think he was actually good at the screaming (even tho i'm not into that KIND of screaming), and the instruments were pretty good (and i used to be in a band and still sing/play on my own)
I thought the music was good, screaming is getting over-used though, I'll say that.
I'm starting to not like screamo, no matter how little screaming is involved.
But yeah, ytmnd was a pretty bad place to have put this, people on here (Im not saying all of you, so dont go flaming me D: kthx)
are f*cking pricks.
Quit your bitching about the criticism you are receiving. You just exposed yourself to a demographic of some of the most cynical and satirical people on the internet. So what if we have not visited your other pages to hear your other songs... This one seems to have struck a chord, like nails on a chalkboard. How about you lead with your strongest foot forward, rather than complain when you lose the race? Once again, Thanks for giving ytmnd the money.
Host, you care so much about what other people think about this song. First off, the picture is gay as f*ck, I suggest a default 4 guys standing along a wall for instance. Two, "You know that mediocre, generic sound you've been looking for? Well listen to this!" Three, don't use this site to advertise your garage band. Just because you got yourself a band photo doesn't mean you're awesome.
I dont see what everyones problem is here, These guys are just using an alternative method to support their group for hopefully a successful future. I play in a celtic rock band myself, and i can understand pretty much everything these guys are going through right now, Everyone has their tastes in music, and as long as they can enjoy what they do, they're good. Keep trying dudes, you have my support (And my vote). And these guys arent bad either, Just need a bit clearing up with recording equipment really.
Yah the screamo sh*t was stupid and did nothing for the song. The singer is whiny and the music doesnt really go anywhere. The reason punk is a bad genre that nobody with any artistic background or taste likes is because theres no room for growth due to the fact that ALL SINGERS SOUND EXACTLY THE SAME.

ha ha oh wow
maybe you, and i assume your the lead singer, should try singing the song with a 5$ tuner in front of your face. the screaming part REALLY ruins the tone of the song and destroys its flow even if it goes with the idea of the song. bring more guitar out to compensate for your lack of good singing unless your guitar playing sucks equally
agreed. Not that I think anyone minds your sponsoring YTMND, but you're not going to get anything in return for this. people who look at the sponsorships page typically do so because they think they'll find something apparently so funny that someone wanted to spend money on it to give it some exposure. most of the people listening to your music will go into it annoyed and disappointed from the get-go. there's a place for advertising on YTMND, but using the "sponsorships" box this way is just a bad idea.
My, I've yet to see such unity in the YTMND community. They're so bad, they've caused us all to join hands and sing campfire songs about how much we hate them. It's almost... beautiful...
I think they're taking so much flak because they're appealing entirely to the wrong demographic. YTMNDers only listen to Tarzan boy and sound clips from various fads poorly strung together in compelation.
The problem with your site here (besides being not that great) is that it's advertising where it's not supposed to be. We're predisposed to hate something when someone with a blatant agenda forces it in front of us like that. It's like one of those promos the TV networks play during their shows that make distracting noises and take up a quarter of the screen. Regardless of the merits of the show being advertised, we're still going to hate it precisely because of that.
