I've been investigating this thoroughly, and the solution to the US security dilemma is inextricably linked to the resolution of Israel/Palestine. he government is doing everything it should NOT be doing to further the interests of the United States.

I used to be pro-palestine, then I realized that the Palestinians like many muslim countries are sexist chauvinists who also kill homosexuals, due to Muslim law and also the fact they associate them with the Israelis, who give rights to homosexuals. I lost sympathy. Yes, in a technical sense, the Israelis are the oppressors, but in all honesty I'd love it if they wiped Palestine out. Spread liberalism as best we can. Getting rid of Israel would get rid of the only bastion of freedom of religion in the M.E.

I too support Israel, not just because I'm jewish, but because my mom and uncle were in the Israeli army, and my cousin just received his draft notice. Besides, we can learn from them. Their army's policy on homosexuality is very lenient, allowing an openly gay man to still serve his country if he wants to.
Correction: it is required that all Jews with israeli citizenship serve in the israeli military. Arabic Israeli citizens are not drafted, but they may serve if they wish to. Furthermore, my support for Israel stems not from the religion itself, but rather, my family that lives there and has fought for them. As for the religion, I am a staunch believer in one god, Adonai. I support israel for the people living there, who defend their religion and way of life so much.
they should be giving israel more money to help protect its citizens and country. the Israeli gvt. did not condone the torture that occured between 88 and 92, only the Security Service did that. It happened, and it hasn't occured since. the same cannot be said about the United States though, killing innocents and torturing prisoners in this current war.

Palestine would be banned from the League of Arab Nations, like egypt before it. There is no way Palestine would rationally end its conflict and allow israel to exist. too much is at stake for them. A resolution between Palestine and israel would evoke fury towards palestine, and then the US would have to defend them from the furious arab nations, creating yet another Middle East Conflict.
Germans of Nazi germany weren't brainwashed. Many of them followed hitler of thier own free will. One of things you could ever think would be to de-humanize the nazis. I dont like to get into counterfactuals, but the US would definately be better off then the jews of europe thats for sure. If anything there'd be a state of cold war between germany and the united states assuming both of them developed nuclear weapons. The german economy would be in pretty bad shape, but otherwise things would be quite interesting. As I said before, hindsight is 20/20 and the victors are the ones who write history.
i'd be a hot war, considering that gemany had just won, was an enemy of the us to begin with (friction not necessary if there's a fire) and germany was closer to the ICBM than the us was (V2 rocket with warhead). they'd have decimated us, then japan would take us, and then germany would eventually war with japan

I agree with some officials in the Israeli government being evil, but uh, what's their incentive for taking over Iraq again? I mean, it's more likely that we just took over Iraq for the sake of a war and an excuse to push more bullsh*t laws. Israel gets over 3 billion dollars of aid from the US per year. It would not have the facility to oppress the palestinians without US help. what i'm asking you is how you can prove that iraqis are accused of the actions of this video rather than being perpetrators. now, if Johnny Cash or some other american band was in the background, i'd be suspicious. However, it is highly likely that the iraqis put in... arabic music... it makes sense. Duh. you still have to offer concrete proof that this is an accusation against iraq, rather than actual videos of their attacks.
so you don't have any proof whatsoever that this is merely accusing the iraqis of commiting the bloodshed, rather than actually showing THEM commiting bloodshed. therefore, the shooter can be determined as Iraqi, not Israli, judging that there is no proof from you to say that this is an israeli shooter, and that there is proof to show that this is an Iraqi shooter (that it's in iraq, aired in portions on al jazeera, and used an arabic soundtrack)

Thank you. My husband deploys for his second tour with the US Army this winter. I really believe in what you all are doing over there (even if he doesn't...), and I cannot tell you how much I appreciate it. My younger brother is also in the USMC, and I couldn't be more proud on both counts. I really believe that things will get better after we hit Iran, and possibly Syria.
I'm currently finishing my bachelor's degree in Biology, and they both have at least a couple years of college under their belts. They chose to go through the military for various reasons, partially to be able to earn money while finishing school, since they both have families. To imply that simply because they chose to join the Armed Forces they lack education or intelligence just reveals your lack thereof.

Going at them with our forces spread in Iraq and Afghanistan will spell doom for our boys. Iran will give us a kick straight in the balls, and apple pie and Americana won't do sh*t for our troops. How do you tell troops and a nation to invade Iran when you can't gain lost support for two other battles? Not happening.
If the goal of the war was to get rid of the terrorist, then we've lost the war. In fact, the war in Iraq has done more to help terrorist recruitment than if Saddam were still in power today. It is this kind of political short-sightedness that lead to the defeat of Vietnam. We can kill anybody who would oppose us, unfortunately we cant seem to use that firepower to achieve a political objective. Bitches dont know about my Karl Von Clausewitz.
