Unfortunate but true. I rode it right before I found it was going away. Now stupid kiddies arent going to know what BTTF is. That is unless, we keep it alive.
September 6th, 2007
(4)
WHY THOUGH??!?! A SIMPSONS RIDE?? THAT SUCKS SO BAD. I'd rather have a BTTF than the Simpsons. :((((

Its funny because on the ride in the Delorean, the gauge in it says year 2015. and i was wanting to ride that in the year 2015 so i could laugh at how much of set the future really was........... or will it be??
September 5th, 2007

Pfft, it's been gone for a couple months now. Still depressing, though.

Right, I'm a Floridian, and the one that mattered to me officially closed on March 30th, I believe. Though hey, apparently the one in Japan's still open...
September 5th, 2007

I'm really going to miss that ride.

Outdated ride is outdated. Still, a sad sight.

But we can go Back, back to a time before the back to the future ride is closed down in the future

Not without a Flux Compasitor, 1.21 gigawatts, and Pluotium.

Best ride ever... Universal sucks sh*t for ditching it instead of refurbishing it... then replacing it with a "Simpsons" movie ride? F*cking Antichrists.
September 6th, 2007
(1)
AMEN!! I'm never going to Universal again because they got rid of the best ride they had there. Asstards.

I, as well as a couple of friends of mine, worked on BTTF:TR in L.A. a few summers ago. I still have the uniform that I snagged from there. Damn, I'm going to miss it, too. The stories... the memories...
September 6th, 2007

I'll never get to ride it :(
September 6th, 2007

How's this for an idea: Universal wants an updated ride. Disney has a very successful roller coaster featuring the band Aerosmith. So...what if Universal combined BTTF and the premise of Disney's Rock 'n' Roller Coaster? That's right...A HUEY LEWIS AND THE NEWS RIDE! Come on! That would be totally awesome, and you know it!

I'm pretty sure it was the Red Hot Chili Peppers, but I could be wrong. Anyways, the news makes me sad.
September 7th, 2007

Pretty sure you are wrong LaMosca. However, the actor who plays Needles is Flea, bassist for Red Hot Chili Peppers. Also, The jitz will never find out!

Dude, what the f*ck?! I loved that ride!
September 6th, 2007

12'd salute, this can't be possible, this was the only good ride Universal Studios had in their arsenal of crapola. If anything should go it needs to be E.T. Plus what about us that hate roller coasters, I liked BTTF because it was the only coaster ride I could stomach before vomiting up my $10.00 hamburger. This has to be a joke... a very sick joke...
September 8th, 2007

That ET ride was the epitome of "Why the F*ck does this exist?"

Calling that monstrosity a ride is really stretching the definition of the word. It was a sh*tty movie that played while your seats moved around. Whee! I waited in line two hours to watch a five minute film I can barely see because my chair won't stay still! Whee!
September 6th, 2007
(1)
Universal just couldnt stop with the Slime Geyser. Noooo. F*ckers.
September 7th, 2007

Ye I died a little inside when I found out about this
September 7th, 2007

Goddamn you Universal.. selling out for a Simpon's ride, and, ironicly, I quote Homer, "for shame." For shame indeed, what an unholy thing you've gone and done, ruined the legened of BTTF for future generations.

Leonidas: This! Is! AN OUTRAGE! Sonic: That's no good... YTMNJ: Hackers of the internets! I propose a spook-out! Spam the people who closed the ride with extremely disturbing images, such as violent BDSM furry hentai, until they bring back the ride. The internets has spoken. We have the power. And we shall use it.
September 7th, 2007

LAME! That was one of the best rides they had.

September 7th, 2007
(-2)
I'm from Orlando and I promise that nobody here will miss the vomit stench in the seats or the fabulous scene in the ride: "Make like a tree and get 'outta' here! *old Biff bonk on the noggin*" The ride sucked from day one, and I always knew that T-Rex was fake as hell (take THAT 1990s CG animators!). Now we just need to end the dreadful Ghostbusters show. Ghostbusters without Bill Murray and crew = FAIL.

So sad that I never got a chance to ride it. My favorite trilogy. Damn shame it's getting replaced by a Simpsons Movie Ride.
September 7th, 2007
(0)
That sucks. BTTF is cool. Kind of makes you feel old when they start replacing cool old movie rides with newer stuff. But you can always let your kids watch the movies after all.
September 7th, 2007
