I affirm the director for having the guts to try and pull off that many plots... I mean, trying to bond each plot together to make it make some sort of sense to the movie-goer is a tough thing, I'd say they did a sub-par job, I'd still see it again just for venom... they need to make one with carnage ftw, though

Oh look at little goblin jr, gonna cry?
(0)
Two and a half hours actually. They could've spared us an hour or more by completely leaving out the dual love triangle and giving Venom the fake photo incentive for revenge alone.
(0)
The producers knew they could make a mediocre movie and still get more money than any other movie in the history of ever, though, so they did.
(-1)
There was nothing wrong with the movie....except that Eric Foreman was Venom, "Venom" was barely in the movie, Eric foreman was in the movie, the whole Sandman character was contrived, and the Green Goblin teams up with Spider Man after they both tried to kill each other. Jeez, bitch, bitch, bitch CreepPipe....
(2)
Not to mention the whole conflict between the Green Goblin and Spider-Man is resolved by a random statement from the Goblin's butler that backs up Spider-Man's story about the Goblin's father, effectively destroying a bitter conflict that stretches over two movies in a thirty second dialog. God I hate Hollywood sometimes.
May 7th, 2007
(0)
it amazes me to hear nitpicking of continuity and whats more realistic as some new problem, considering in Spider-Man 1 pro wrestling is real.
(2)
There are probably better ways to resolve gripping conflicts other than a butler giving a somehow convincing amateur autopsy, but maybe that's just me.

Sick of people hopping on the "it sucked" bandwagon. I thought it was great, except for a few criticisms, but I've had them for the Spider-man movie franchise as a whole and not just this movie.

The movie was great. Emo Parker wasn't lame, he was hilarious. They did mess up Venom though.
(0)
What is with you people? It wasn't nearly as good as 2, but it wasn't bad. And emo Parker was hilarity.
May 7th, 2007
(0)
The third movie was more of an adaptation of the Alien Coustume storyline from both the cartoon and the 1980's comic strip than it was about Venom's origin. Raimi hates Venom, and the popcorn hick audience love him...the reaction is obvious. I know tons of comic purists who loved this film.

lololol now let's combine this with the "We may be trapped" scene and get top rated. The guy could be like trying to open the door and it doesn't open and then Peter's head appears and yells this. Funny stuff, right? Right?? *secretly hopes someone actually does that*

The movie died for me when he swung in front of an American flag deliberately and in slow motion on his way to the final battle. WHAT A REAL AMERICAN HERO AMIRITE?
May 7th, 2007
(4)
it wasnt in slow motion, and they did the American flag thing before. Sam Raimi is not afraid of camp, if you took it at face value "SUPPORT THE TROOPS HURR" type patriotism you're nuts.
May 8th, 2007
(1)
I didn't, it was just WAY too cheesy for me, and not even a good, comic book-esque cheesy. Like, I thought that the newspaper boss guy's desk shaking violently every time his secretary buzzed him was cheesy, but in a good, funny way that I'd expect from a movie adaptation of a comic book. I literally laughed out loud when he swung in front of the flag because of how stupid it was. And maybe it wasn't in slow motion, the length of the movie was putting me to sleep. :P

The whole American flag thing made me rofl my waffles

4'd for bad acting. Could someone explain the joke here for me? I refuse to see Spiderman 3 because I hear how horrible it is.
May 8th, 2007
(1)
The joke is about how "all over the map" the movie actually is. When I saw it was like it didn't have a plot, but roughly 5 plots. "Fix this damn door" is making a joke about the plot by taking the most irrelevant scene of the movie and calling it an "explanation" or a "summary." Also, the door never gets fixed.
May 9th, 2007
(0)
I like to pretend that the running jokes/gags, like the broken door, were the main story lines, and the actual plot lines, like Peter and Harry's friendship or the fall of Eric "Eddie" Foreman Brock & subsequent creation of THAT 70'S VENOM, were just running gags/jokes.

i thought this was the best movie of them all becuz i read the comics and venom was one of my favorite villains, i get the feeling the ppl who didnt like it just were never spiderman fans before the movies came out and cant appreciate it
May 9th, 2007
(1)
I disagree. I loved spiderman as a kid and still do. I just think the movie tried to do to much. Mary Jane turned into a whiny bitch, and nobody f*cked gwen stacy. Venom deserves his own movie, he shouldn't be thrown it with the sandman. So phooey on you, this movie blew (hey that rhymes)

1'd for the horrible syncing. And the spider man bashing..
(0)
I'm glad I'm not the only one that felt like spiderman 3 did way too much for a single movie. 3 damn villians, the introduction of black spiderman, a miraculous change of heart, and 2 dead villians that plagued spiderman through most of his comics, and could have played a much bigger role. I wanted more out of venom. Moral of Spiderman 3. If you kill off all the characters, there is no more movie.

lol. Spoiler? :D OH NO HE WANTS HIS LANDLORD TO FIX A DOOR LOLOLOL, THE MOVIE IS POINTLESS TO SEE NOW. The thing I didn't like is that they didn't portray Spiderman's transformation into venom that well. The style COULD have worked, if they didn't portray him as some stupid punk *ss bitch. Venom-spidy is supposed to be a dick that still is cool as hell, and he has a much stronger web/physical ability (which was never properly shown, especially the web).
May 9th, 2007
(0)
It wasn't that bad! Yes it was all over the board, but it wasn't bad. I look at it like writing an essay. They made sure to cover all their points because of whiney bitches who would complain about plot holes. Then, when they make sure they have their sh*t covered, you become whiney bitches about content. Why you would complain that you're getting your money's worth is beyond me. Is it really that hard to keep track of a few extra storylines? Does it tax you mentally? You people don't know what you want.
May 9th, 2007

Watch Spider-man 3 as a movie about Spider-man and his adventures. Don't watch it expecting a carbon copy of what happened in the comics. This is a film. It's gotta bypass the Hollywood standards first, of Raimi would never get funding.
