Not a single game found in his dorm. If only Cho had an outlet for his rage, perhaps a virtual simulation where he could act out violent fantasies without hurting anyone. If only such a thing existed...

"And if you are getting ratings for anything relating to the VTech tragedy it just feels nasty. I wouldn't touch this story with a ten foot pole." I'd do it but I've got a busy half week of work to do. Also if you can't make jokes about tragedies then the terrorists and random sociopathic asian kids have won, and we can't have that. I think his slutty girlfriend is to blame. Who's with me?
You people who doubt him need to look at the statistics...if you count columbine and today, that's 3 people who have shot up their schools and killed lots of people. In a VERY conservative estimate, let's say 10 million people have played violent video games...that's .00003% of people!!!
If you don't consider 0.00003% of people who experience the "cause" showing the supposed effect to be statistically significant, you're mildly intelligent!
Everyone in the media right now is attacking videogames. What's funny is that the news media shows clips of the gore from Virgina Tech every second they get. Right after they show more clips of our soldiers getting killed in Iraq, sent by a president who's more violent than any videogame I've ever seen. The real problem is that all our nation's institutions are run by old c*nts who have been in charge for way too long.
It's not video games, it's not guns, it's not violence on TV. It is a sickness that plagues mankind. Thousands die every day at the hands of others. This shouldn't be excluded as a "tragedy" nor was it preventable. These things are going to happen as long as mankind competes for their place on this planet.
Of course he's an expert, he's proven his "facts" concerning previous shootings to always be 100% accurate and never debunked at all. Fox News clearly does their homework and researches people's claims of being an "expert" long before allowing them to speak on the air about a horrific tragedy only 7 hours after it happened.
This always gets way out of hand. Since they dont play video games and dont understand them, they want them gone. I can garuntee you if the same could be said about horror films or even magicians attempting the "Magic Bullet" trick (catches a bullet in their mouth), in that politicains and journalists didnt like either of those, then sure enough people like M. Night Shamalan (wrong spelling I figure) and Penn & Teller would be getting sued. This situation shows how dumb these people are.
If he blamed video games for causing the gunman to go on a rampage without even knowing anything about the gunman, including what influenced him, then that makes Jack Thomson's argument unfalsifiable, and therefore methodologically incorrect. We should give no value to his claims, but you already knew that. We should, however, give him much credit for his outstanding douchebaggery.
