did a chemistry test really say "stores lots of heat"?

Yeah thats pretty stupid. The question doesnt even asked anything relevant to anything. I've taken thermodynamics and heat trasnfer and this doesnt make sense. Plus the teacher writing looks stupid. I would suggest this is fake.

Yeah, chemistry is pwned. No wait, the guy who'll spend the rest of his worthless life bagging groceries is pwned. Silly me.

It would take extra energy to transfer heat from a lower temp. to a higher temp.

The questions is aimed at finding out why the guy was fired. He was fired because the equation, while sounding good, just doesn't add up. The student is expected to solve the equation to find out why the guy got fired. The answer is apparent if you work out the problem.

"Yeah thats pretty stupid. The question doesnt even asked anything relevant to anything. I've taken thermodynamics and heat trasnfer and this doesnt make sense." Chipotlehero, it's a violation of the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics (also known as the Kelvin-Planck statement). In order to move heat from a low temp to a high temp you'll consume energy (for example a refridgerator). So please, next time you want to play expert can you try to know what you're talking about?

I haven't even taken anything beyond High School chemistry and it seems obvious that making a Cruise Liner that releases more heat than it extracts would be an excellent way to waste energy, not gain it.

"I agree prairie. I believe his career leans in the direction of creative writing...." Although this is stolen , one of the other sites created by Mr. Omegapirate2000 complains about a creative writing assignment……funny…. That being said the way the teacher writes entirely incursive except for the letter J is quite annoying.

Q(h) + Q(c) = 0; S = -Q(h)/T(h) - Q(c)/T(c); since Q(h) = -Q(c) = Q we can say S = Q[1/T(h) - 1/T(c)]; 1/T(h) < 1/T(c) and Q is positive so there would need to be a reduction in entropy, which we ALL know can't happen. Oh and by the way, the right answer was "c*cks"

By the way, KelvinPlanck, it's called a Clausius Device.
