im not entirely sure i believe you. well i believe you have it on your pirated copy of the movie since it's not legitimately released. i saw the movie in the theatre and i don't recall even seeing a flash of red during that scene. While I may have overlooked it I would be hard pressed to believe a pirated copy was the same as the theatrical release. On the off chance it is then awesome you found quite a nilly.
If it's really in the movie it's not in there by accident. The movie director and many others will have watched the movie countless more times than you by the end, and there's no way they'd all miss something like that and you'd pick it up. And in some films today, they actually will pay people to go through a movie frame by frame and touch it up a bit.
Not only is it probably not in the film on accident, it was probably Mel Gibson's doing. Yap all you want, and I agree that he obviously has issues (all of his films are essentially "torture and oppression" followed by "brutal revenge" - even Jesus got his!) but he's a talented and inventive filmmaker. Somebody also pointed out the hilarious trailer image. Oh, gotta love Mel.
this movie, and this man piss me off. he see's the decline of christian morals as something that is destorying our society, so he combats this with movies like this and pasion of the christ. it says it all in the begining quote of the movie, but what it doesn't say is that the mayans wheren't felled by corruption they where felled by that group of insane desiesed monotheist at the end.
mayans didn't kill in huge numbers, your thinking of the aztecs. and all societies are violent, if you showed the mayans the passion of the christ they'd freak out. consider the fact that christians have long saw calamaty in the old world as being a sign of gods wrath. they assumed god was angry at them so they rounded up witches, jews, gypsy's, and later protestants, and catholics and killed them. just like an offering. I doesnt mean they deserve to be conqured.
