Old YTMNDs don't die...
I think there are tons of sites floating around YTMND like this, most of which collect in the worthwhile section until they become obsolete and are pawned off on an inner city public school.

Too true. The worthwhile section and mod favorites are insufficient. Also the HoF is pretty poor.

Don't make me miss the good old YTMND... there's something about the new YTMND that's just not the same.

Sorry but this one will also fade away. And yeah, nobody cares. Not voting but this actually deserves a 1 for zero creativity.

Actually, they can die if a mod kills them. Also, what site was that>
January 4th, 2007

Yeah I suppose they can die, maybe I should change it to "great YTMNDs" but since that's a screenshot of http://ytmndww3.ytmnd.com/ (my site) it might seem a bit conceited.

-1. Some YTMND's need to fade away. I can't wait for "How to prank a telemarketer" to fade away. It can't go fast enough in my mind.

Some will argue that just because there's a vast amount of websites, YTMND is bound to be fickle in nature. But how many of those are lame personal sites, copied sites, fad comps, over-exposed 4chan pics, or simply ones not worth looking at? 5'd for being right.
January 4th, 2007

I think the "Worthwhile" section should have high-rate YTMNDs with recently low view counts. That way, it keeps the exposure going, and allows a site which is getting old to be taken out in a rain of downvoting.

i have a site with a 4.58 that got a total of 46 views yesterday. i have dozens of sites over 4.4 that got 20 views or less. when i click 'top rated' on the digest it skips over dozens and dozens of well known, high rated sites as if they dont exist. on the old layout youd click 'top rated' and it would list EVERY site by rating. through this i had sites that initially had no attention get over 30 thousand views. YTMND is broked.

"when i click 'top rated' on the digest it skips over dozens and dozens of well known, high rated sites as if they dont exist." Yeah but clicking the arrow next to quick search without typing in anything still works.

I think something should change about how traffic/views/voting/whatever around here is handled. Haven't really been into YTMND for several months now. I keep waiting for something really amusing to come along... but every time something new makes it's debut... it's something gay like socialdemocracy sponsoring a bunch of violin sites that are so lacking in humor they make even british people's *ssh*les pucker.

So true... =( On the other hand, not one but TWO (sortof three) of my sites managed to just make major 200-300+ views a day comebacks!!! I'm still baffled.
