HOLY shit real chipmunk voice

  i've been playing with pitching lately, making things sound like the chipmunks. i found to increase pitch by 45 is the perfect recipe for instant chipmunkified song. then i had the idea to de-chipmunkify an already chipmunk song to see what it originally

   It was the same guy who did all the voices. His name was Ross Bagdasarian, then his son took over after he died.
He didn't/doesn't do the effect with pitch shifting, it's done by recording at half speed. Slow the track down to 50% and you'll hear what it really sounded like (it sounds weird, but that's how it's done)
