Are you using photoshop? If so, I might suggest making a shape for the sign instead of trying to brush it. The brushes are very noticable. Also, there should be a button above your layers that allows you to lock position and that will match over all frames, so you don't have to keep re-moving the star to the right place. Lastly, were you trying to match the BG color with the trees? If so, i might suggest hand editing your color table and changing the red to the red you use in the BG.
