Next time I'm in Boston, I have to take pictures of the abandoned portions of the Franklin Park Zoo and make that into a site. Back in high school, we used to have XC state meets there and we would run by the abandoned portions that were on top of the hill. Awesome site, thanks for evoking some emotions and *not* putting NEDM in there, as well as giving me an idea (unless someone else has already done it).
"Creepy" is the word that pops to most people's minds, but I don't think it's quite right. It's more like a disturbing knd of melancholy . . . but then again, I suppose anything that sends shivers down your spine could justifiably be called "creepy".

This is kind of creepy, and discomforting. It's saddening, reminds me of a local amusement park that was recently torn down. A very classic and traditional one, I'm still missing it, even though it officially shut down several years ago. (I'm talking about Whalom Park for any of you New Englanders reading this.)
