Step two: multiply by 9. Anything multiplied by 9 is going to have its digit add up to 9, which is pretty miraculously 5 more than 4, whereas D is the fourth letter in the alphabet omg! Also, a koala isn't a kind of bear, it's a koala. Just like a panda isn't a kind of bear, it's a freakin' panda. (and yes, i chose Djibouti.)

See, here's the problem. I did, in fact, think koala, and went aquamarine from there. Nidpants basically covers it. Koalas are, in fact, marsupials. And yeah, as a math nerd, I caught the trick as soon as you multiplied the numbers by nine.
